Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Indigeneity (EDII) are key aspects for Alberta Soccer. In today’s society, these issues are getting more visibility by the day, and sports cannot be oblivious to them. We are eager to keep supporting inclusion in our sport, by welcoming anybody who wants to participate in a safe and respectful manner.

The Board of Directors of the Alberta Soccer Association will work to address diversity and inclusion and to address discrimination in our sport. We are devoted to continuing to learn and act to establish awareness in our community. We reaffirm our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We call on our members to accelerate and intensify efforts to build a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive sport.
Over the coming months we will:
Continue to educate ourselves and the membership through communications and policy changes.
Engage in difficult discussions and educate others.
Provide educational information to those looking to learn more.
Advocate for the support and mentorship of our members, whether it be players, coaches, officials, or associated volunteers.
