Alberta Soccer’s Grassroots Development team has just finished another great soccer camp in Fort McMurray. The team spent four days in camp promoting the Mini Stars Program with the support of Will Gibson, President of Fort McMurray Youth Soccer Association.
With over 40 children in camp, it was a great week that concluded with the now-customary parent’s game and water gun fight. There was also some very exciting future talent on display for the new Grassroots Coordinator, Marissa Duguay, who enjoyed her first visit to the region.
“The kids had a great desire to play, and there is a lot of raw talent in the region,” commented Duguay, “The future of Fort McMurray soccer looks bright as the players continue to work hard and enjoy the game while doing so. We’re eager to see some of these players moving up the ranks as they continue to grow.”
