Vision: Skillfully train, develop, qualify, & support more coaches to be skillful teachers of the game.
Alberta Soccer is committed to LTPD and to delivering coaching education that enhances the development of coaches and most importantly, players.
The Long-Term Player Development Coach Pathway is divided into two distinct Streams: Community Stream (community soccer) and Licensing Stream (competitive soccer). Refer to the menu on your right to find out more about the specific courses we offer in each stream.
All coaches must complete the Making Ethical Decisions (MED) multi-sport module including the online evaluation to complete their program. Please click HERE to search &/or register for all coaching clinics & programs.
Alberta Soccer and Canada Soccer produced Coaching Toolkits for community grassroots coaches earlier this year which provides useful information on each stage of Long Term Player Development, Coaching Tips and activities to use with your team/players.

Concussion Recommendations and Strategy
Information and recommendations about concussions can sometimes be difficult to navigate for coaches. The Alberta Concussion Alliance was initiated to help provide some clarity and strategic direction around prevention of, and safe recovery from, sport and recreation-related concussions.
In collaboration with the Alberta Concussion Alliance, we developed and published our Concussion Protocol and Policy in January 2016. We also recommend keeping a copy of the Pocket Concussion Recognition Tool.
If you are a Coach looking to take a course on concussion management, we recommend the Making Headway Concussion eLearning Session from coach.ca
