North American Indigenous Games
The 2020 North American Indigenous Games were scheduled to take place from July 12-18 in Halifax (Kjipuktuk) and Millbrook First Nation. Alberta Soccer held three player identification events in November and were slated to send four teams to compete in the Games. In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, the 2020 Games have been postponed, read the press release here.

About the Games
Over 5,000 participants from across North America will compete in 16 sports.
Thousands of visitors will experience a cultural celebration and village at the Halifax Commons which includes dance, songs, music, games, art and teachings. New friendships will be created amongst the athletes, coaches, officials, partners and over 3,000 volunteers from Nova Scotia.
