(September 8, 2017) Later today, 180 of our province’s most talented rural ’04 and ’05 players will meet in Ponoka, AB, to showcase their skills at Alberta Soccer’s U13 Rural Talent ID Event.
The event, which aims to bring the ‘best of the best’ together, will feature training sessions, player/parent/coach presentations, and four games. Each of these events will be facilitated by members of Alberta Soccer’s Technical team – providing players and parents with a unique opportunity to see how the Provincial Program operates.
Each of the participating districts determined the make-up of their team – selecting players of distinction to create an All-Star team.
This unique event will provide the attending players the chance to demonstrate their abilities to Alberta Soccer’s technical staff in the hopes of being invited to attend the Winter Training Program.
For most of these players, this ID event will be their first exposure to the Alberta Soccer’s Excellence Stream.
For any questions about the event, please email Vikram Kaushal, Alberta Soccer Technical Coordinator.
