(October 3, 2017) Here’s how Alberta players have been making their impact on the national game over the past few months:
On the women’s side, multiple players were invited to join the Vancouver Whitecaps FC REX Super Centre – a program that trains U13-18 female players from across the country with the intention of leading them into Canada Soccer’s National EXCEL Program. Several of the program’s players were subsequently selected to attend various EXCEL camps throughout the summer and early autumn.

In early September, the Canadian men’s National Team played an international friendly in Toronto against Jamaica – marking the 21st time Canada has competed against the Jamaican team.

The 2017 CONCACAF Boys’ U15 Championship took place in Florida this past August. Over 140 players were eligible for selection to the team based on their performances at various camps and showcases.
