The Alberta Soccer Association is proud to announce a new partnership with Cavalry FC of the Canadian Premier League, as part of their joint efforts to develop soccer in Alberta.
This partnership will benefit both players and coaches through development programs for either, in addition to creating a consistent pathway for players to reach the professional level. In their five years of existence, Cavalry FC has been a constant entertainer in the Canadian Premier League, with several Alberta players making their pro debut and even obtaining professional contracts in other countries.
In the words of Jason Blake, Alberta Soccer Technical Director, “The ASA partnership with Cavalry FC creates a vital piece of the player pathway in Alberta. The CPL club will work collaboratively with players, coaches, and clubs to identify and help develop players towards the professional level of soccer in Alberta. In addition to enhanced player programming, Cavalry will provide grassroots player and coach engagement activities throughout the province.”
Lastly, Alberta Soccer would like to express its gratitude to the Vancouver Whitecaps for their years of continued support.
