The Alberta Soccer Awards Banquet will return to Calgary at the Sheraton Suites Eau Claire on January 28, 2017 where multiple awards will be handed out to Albertans from across the province who have made a positive contribution to soccer during this past year and beyond. The nominations form is now live on the albertasoccer.com website while a list of awards, their description and past winners can be found here.

There is much to be recognized and proud of for soccer in Alberta in 2016: capturing four national club championships; implementing Canada Soccer Regional Excel Centres for female players in northern and southern Alberta; watching our soccer community join together to ensure that players from Fort McMurray had the chance to still play over the summer months; the successes of both FC Edmonton and Calgary Foothills PDL teams; establishing a formal partnership with the Vancouver Whitecaps in Calgary and much more.

The Awards recognize notable achievements from teams, players, coaches, referees and administrators or volunteers who have contributed greatly to the game more recently as well as over a lifetime of service.
