Alberta Soccer, through Canada Soccer, is pleased to announce Okotoks United Soccer Club has received their provisional Canada Soccer Quality Soccer Provider licence. OUSC is the first club in the province to receive the licence and joins more than 50 clubs across the country to earn the distinction.
The Quality Soccer Provider licence ensures a club provides a safe, fun and inclusive environment for all its members. Organizations who receive the designation must meet or exceed the standards set by Canada Soccer, who have made this licence a requirement for its members starting in 2023.
“We are proud to be recognized by Canada Soccer and Alberta Soccer as a Quality Standards provider,” says Matt Lumsden, Technical Programs Director for Okotoks United Soccer Club. “Our club has a commitment to facilitating safe and well-organized soccer provision for the members of our community. This recognition is testament to the dedication of our staff, coaches, volunteers and board of directors, with it being the catalyst to inspire the continued development of programming of our players and families.”
Alberta Soccer aims to ensure all its members can enjoy the sport in the safest and most inclusive environment possible, while also keeping the game fun and entertaining. Clubs who obtain the Quality Soccer Provider licence ensure they can offer those standards at the Grassroots level.
