(March 4, 2019) A huge congratulations goes out to Kiley Geddie and Josh Taylor, two of our power soccer athletes that have been selected to represent Team Canada for the America’s Cup for Power Soccer hosted in Brazil. They will be attending the 2019 America’s Cup World Cup qualifying tournament in Rio De Janeiro, which runs from August 5 – August 9, 2019.
On being selected for Team Canada, Josh says, “I’m thrilled and proud to be selected by Team Canada. I’m looking forward to getting together with my teammates and trying to get us to the next level. It’ll take some hard work, but going to Rio will be an exciting challenge for us all.”
Kiley Geddie, pictured above says, “I still have to pinch myself to believe that I am actually on Team Canada! As a young child I always longed for the chance of playing international soccer for Team Canada. As I got older life got in the way of childhood dreams, but thanks to power soccer there was a way for me to play again the sport I love.”
Congratulations again and best of luck on your preparation for the tournament in Brazil!
