(November 24, 2017) For the fourth year running, Alberta Soccer has provided training and support for the implementation of the Preferred Training Model within our members’ grassroots programming. This year, with support from Servus Credit Union, Alberta Soccer is delighted to once a again provide applicants with a grant of up to $2,000 to communities, clubs, and districts wishing to host a FUNdamentals Festival.
The Festivals will teach the preferred training model to coach volunteers – providing practical tools to put this model into practice with U6-U9 players. Alberta Soccer will provide NCCP Training at the FUNdamentals stage of development, support and resources during and after the festival, a $2000 implementation grant for new applicants (and $1000 for returning applicants), plus a $500 coach development honorarium (if event hosting criteria are met).
Applications to host a FUNdamentals Festival are now open – click here to access the fillable application form.
The deadline to submit completed applications is January 15, 2018.
