About the June winner:

Barb’s favourite COBS bread is the Flax White Wheat (Lekkerbrot)

“Barb is the most thoughtful, caring, and organized person I know. She does a masterful job making sure all her kids are ready to play and attend all practices and games. Her support and positive encouragement for her kids is clearly evidenced by all of their love for the game. They are all highly motivated and top players on their teams.  I sincerely believe that this is due to her commitment and passion for her kids.

Her organizational abilities are outstanding in managing two teams, making it much easier for all of the families on those teams. All of the parents on our team clearly see her as a true model of being a soccer parent. Most of all, her kids all love the game and have fun playing.

I once asked Barb how many games she has seen and she said ‘it must be in the hundreds’ but quickly added that she loves to see her kids grow into fine young people as she sees their skills develop on the field.

Every night at the end of the soccer games her kids excitedly recount the play by play of each of their games while getting ready for the next day. She shows loving patience in helping them navigate the highs and lows that sport provides for life. I have no doubt that these kids will one day coach/referee and always be involved is soccer for life.”
